Events:Customer Employment Partnership event

Thames Reach’s Employment Academy will be hosting an event dedicated to helping formerly homeless people find work within the homelessness sector this week.

The event will give people the chance to find out more about the Customer Employment Partnership and how it is supporting people to find work in the homelessness sector. The event is open to people that have used or are currently using homelessness services as well as those working in the sector. 

The Customer Employment Partnership is a scheme involving a number of organisations working with homeless people including Thames Reach, Crisis, The Passage, Broadway, Centre Point, The Connection at St Martin in the Fields, Homeless Link, Providence Row Housing Association and Look Ahead and is being organised by South London YMCA.

The event is on Friday 2 August from 2-4pm at the Employment Academy, 29 Peckham Road London SE5 8UA

Thames Reach’s Employment and Resettlement Area Manager Monica Geraghty said: “We’re really excited about holding the Customer Employment Partnership event at the Employment Academy. As members of the partnership Thames Reach are committed to providing more opportunities to people who have experienced homelessness to find work within the sector and the new Customer Employment Partnership website will play a major role in achieving this.

South London YMCA Customer Employment Partnership Co-ordinator Kevin Rothero said: “The new Customer Employment Partnership website will provide a ‘one stop shop’ for people who have experienced homelessness and who wish to find employment in the sector either now or at some point in the future. The event will be crucial to ensuring that the website is as useful a resource as possible.”
